Check this out and let me know what it is. I know I have seen one before I just can't come up with the name right now. It does make me a little nervous to go out and start the spring cleanup back there....especially since Olivia will be with me :( I just don't know if it is mean??
(I apologize for the quality and for the shakiness...I was looking through my bedroom window while holding Olivia!)

it almost looks like a groundhog. I think it'll be more scared of you, especially if you're out there whacking bushes and stomping around.
I agree with Jean. Regardless of what it is, as soon as you go out there, it is going to leave!!
Did you ever figure out what it is? I can't tell from the picture.
I am also thinking that it is a ground hog. I hope after we clean up our mess from the tree that fell that he will decide to take up home in someone else's back yard! :)
I thought it was a tree, but then my eyes are not what they use to be. I love animals but don't assume that a wild animal will just take off. If it has young or it's ill, or its just protecting its territory. Woodchucks can be very ornery. Give Duffy a jingle see if he has any advice.
